Oscar season may feel like eons ago, but Jacob Tremblay's charm continues to keep giving.

At a recent benefit for WE Day, Tremblay debuted a new friend on the carpet: a tiny puppy.

According to People, the powerhouse 9-year-old from the Oscar-winning movie Room picked out the darling little pup with his parents. Tremblay tells People that the dog was quite the contentious decision, with the considerations of allergies and Daddy Tremblay's house rules playing a part.

The 9-year-old's siblings, Emma and Erica Tremblay, will help him pick out a proper name for the new family pet. Some of the current options? Daisy, Izzy or Ginger (the latter is especially appropriate considering the tiny poodle has a perfect ginger-colored coat).
